Scholarship Application for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training
Scholarships for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training are awarded every year to those who seek training and require financial assistance. Applicants must pass a background check to be considered for a SANE training scholarship. Scholarships are available to pay for training registration and meal reimbursement. Mileage and hotel reimbursement may also be available, depending on the distance between your home and the location of the training.

Please only fill out one application per 12-month period. If you are not awarded a scholarship for your first choice of training location and date, you may be eligible for a scholarship at a future date and location. Scholarship applications must be received a minimum of THIRTY DAYS prior to the training that you wish to attend in order to be considered.
The following documentation for your SANE training scholarship application can be submitted as an attachment to the form below:

Your resume, which includes your educational background, employment history, awards, and volunteer experience.

A letter of support from your local Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) or emergency department. This letter will need to include that you will be given privileges at the hospital to perform Sexual Assault Exams and that you will be utilized as a trained SANE.
